I signed up for a Crazy Quilt Piecing class at Quilt University. Fun class--this is the result of my first homework. You start the piecing at the bottom of the quilt block then work your way up. I have never done that before. I tried to get all the elements in that our teacher, Cindy suggested. Balance, contrast of values and using the same fabric more than one time in the block. I didn't get to use all of the fabrics more than one time but I did some of them.
Now I am off to do the embellishing, my favorite part. Usually I will take my quilt block to work and do some of the embellishing at lunch time. We get an hour lunch and it can be very boring without something to do and I get a lot done on my quilt blocks.
I found some links for embroidry patterns that I am going to add to this block. Here is one link with a lot of patterns: http://www.patternbee.com/FREEPATTERNS.html
I'll post some more links later.

Welcome to Crazy Quilted which is short for Just "nother crazy quilter." My favorite type of quilts to make is crazy quilts and plan to use this blog to write about my growing obsession with my crazy quilt blocks and the embellishing I do on the blocks. I will have pictures of my progress too.
At the moment, I am setting up the blog so while you are waiting, please go visit my sister's Battie Krafts blog. Sheri is always working on something interesting. :)
